Miami U., U. of Chicago extend First Transit contracts

Oxford, Ohio's Miami University and the University of Chicago renewed their contracts with First Transit, a private provider of transit management and contracting services, for an additional year.

First Transit has provided shuttle service for the students of both universities since 2006 and currently transports more than 415,000 passengers annually.

The company operates university shuttle service to 20 total universities throughout the U.S. First Transit also provides complete operations and transit management services as well as comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspection programs to meet customer transportation and budgetary needs.
