MV wins Calif. contract

The Camarillo (Calif.) City Council selected MV Transportation Inc. as the city's new service provider for the Camarillo Area Transit (CAT) system.

MV will begin service in mid-August. Under the terms of this one-year contract (with two, one-year options) MV will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of both the fixed-route and Dial-A-Ride services.

The new CAT system represents MV's third contract in Ventura County, including Thousand Oaks Transit in the City of Thousand Oaks and Gold Coast Transit paratransit services in the City of Oxnard.
