Motorcoach Council up for $250K Pepsi Refresh Project grant
Application was accepted for the voting cycle that begins on Oct. 1. Encouraging all members of the industry, as well as their employees, family members and friends, to vote daily for the “Get Motorcoachified” campaign.
The Motorcoach Council submitted an application for a Pepsi Refresh Project Grant and was accepted for the voting cycle that begins on Oct. 1. Each grant asks applicants to fill in the blank after the words “I want to_______.” The Motorcoach Council completed the sentence: “I want to Get Motorcoachified and promote Green Travel,” supporting the mission of the Council to drive public awareness of the benefits of motorcoach travel through the Get Motorcoachified campaign.
Each month Pepsi is giving away $1.3 million in grants to people, non-profits and businesses that have ideas that will have a positive impact on their communities. The Pepsi Refresh Everything Project is a groundbreaking initiative designed to fund good ideas — big and small — that help refresh the world. Each month 1,000 “good ideas” are presented to the public for voting. Pepsi funds the ideas that receive the most votes.
Starting October 1st, the Motorcoach Council will be calling on all members of the industry, as well as their employees, family members and friends to help secure the votes needed to be awarded a $250,000 grant. This grant will be used to create a compelling nationwide campaign that draws media attention from all across the U.S., coverage that highlights the fact that motorcoach travel is the greenest method of transportation available to consumers today.
The campaign will demonstrate in a unique and tangible way how traveling by coach reduces green house gas emissions and congestion on our nation’s roadways, reducing the risks associated with climate change.
The Motorcoach Council is encouraging members of the motorcoach industry to go to www.RefreshEverything.com/GetMotorcoachified each day starting October 1st and vote throughout the month, and to forward the links that are provided on the site to encourage everyone in their network to vote for the Council’s grant application.
