Seon improves camera technology, feature benefits

Like the world of fixed surveillance, Seon Design Inc. now delivers 540 TV lines of resolution as standard in the company's SA Wedge, SQ and SJ Dome series cameras. Seon has also standardized audio for SQ and SJ cameras, which all now ship with a built-in microphone.

"Seon has streamlined our camera product line to make it more feature-rich, adding more value at a competitive price," says Senior Product Manager Peter Simmons.

The company's selection of wedge, dome and other specialized cameras are specifically designed for harsh mobile environments. They are also vandal-resistant and capable of withstanding vibration, temperature extremes and other rigors of the road. Each camera can be configured to meet unique requirements, offering day and night capabilities, according to Seon.

The indoor/outdoor SA Wedge is dust and water-resistant. It provides color imaging in normal lighting, and automatically switches to black and white in low-lighting conditions. Combined with the optional infrared illuminator module, the SA Wedge delivers clear images up to 50-feet away in complete darkness.

Meanwhile, Seon's compact SJ Dome camera allows for the easy adjustment of the camera lens to include different parts of the bus.

The SQ version offers the same capabilities as the SJ, but includes infrared capabilities, which allows the cameras to see in total darkness.
