[IMAGE]Brown-2.jpg[/IMAGE]Amsterdam, N.Y.-based Brown Coach added a 2009 Dodge Sprinter 3500 to its fleet, complete with Mercedes badges, to accommodate the needs of small groups that preferred something smaller than a full-sized motorcoach.

Stephen Brown, the operation's vice president, said the Sprinter was added to the fleet to meet the company's growing needs for a smaller luxury vehicle for transporting wedding parties, local political dignitaries and corporate professionals.

The 11-passenger vehicle boasts a six-cylinder Mercedes diesel engine, as well as many features regularly found in a traditional luxury motorcoach, such as plush seats with seat belts; premium viewing passenger windows; deluxe entertainment system with DVD/Video; reading lights; a custom rear luggage area and wheelchair capability.

The new vehicle also features a dedicated Ricon K2005 side lift door and two ADA tie down positions with Freedman Foldaway flip seats.

Brown Coach maintains a fleet of late-model Prevost and MCI motor coaches to service the Mohawk Valley/Greater Capital District area of Upstate New York. A sister company, Upstate Transit of Saratoga LLC, operates a fleet of Setra and Prevost motor coaches in Saratoga Springs N.Y.
