MADISON, Wis. — Outgoing Gov. Jim Doyle's administration has told at least two contractors on the high-speed rail project between Madison and Milwaukee to halt working on the project, according to the Journal Sentinel. The move follows Tuesday's election of Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker, who repeatedly vowed to kill the $810 million line during his campaign, as governor, but two months before he takes office.
