NEW YORK — On Tuesday, one day after a severe snowstorm wiped out transportation service all over the city, some New York Metropolitan Transit Authority subway lines ran on truncated routes, The New York Times reports. However, no trains ran on half of the Long Island Rail Road’s branches for most of the day, and there was no service on dozens of city bus routes.
