Long Island Rail in 'triage situation' following storm

NEW YORK — With a crippling blizzard moving out early Monday, the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) said it's still in a "triage situation," with its biggest challenge being removal of the compacted snow and ice along the electrified third rail, according to Newsday. As of Tuesday, the LIRR is prioritizing service on its four busiest routes, with the hopes of phasing in some service on other lines throughout the day. For the full story, click here.
