Bombardier, Envitech to equip Saudi Arabia rail

Bombardier Transportation awarded a contract to Envitech Energy for three traction power substations, as part of the King Abdullah Financial District Monorail project in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.   

Envitech will be responsible for the design, manufacturing and commissioning of the main components of the traction power substation: transformer, rectifier, DC switchgear, battery charger, automatic grounding switch and wayside braking energy system. 

Envitech offers a wide range of railroad electrification solutions to the public transportation industry, with a complete line of traction power substations.
