MADISON, Wis.  — Due to public transportation provisions in Gov. Scott Walker’s budget repair bill, students at the University of Wisconsin – Madison may have to pay significantly more for Associated Students of Madison bus passes, according to The Badger Herald.

According to a Feb. 16 memo from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau, federal funds can only be issued when transit workers have collective bargaining rights, which would be stripped from workers in the public sector.
