WASHINGTON, D.C. — In an effort to better reflect the average American’s weight, the Federal Transit Administration is proposing changing the average passenger’s weight used in its bus testing regulations from 150 lbs. to 175 lbs. and increasing the average occupied floor space from 1.5 to 1.75 square feet, The Daily Caller reports.
