N.Y. coach co. Facebook promotion yields 200 entrants
Monsey Tours gave away a free iPod, using the popular social networking website. The contest ran from Jan. 15 to Feb. 28.
Brooklyn, N.Y.-based charter bus service Monsey Tours recently showed its appreciation for its loyal riders by giving away a free iPod over the company Facebook page. Over 200 people participated in the contest, which ran from Jan. 15 to Feb. 28. Many of the entrants hailed from Monsey and Brooklyn, two central locations on the company’s commuter lines.
"Monsey Tours often utilizes Facebook to communicate with our passengers about schedule changes and inclement weather. Naturally, we were excited to use this same platform to give back to our community of riders with our iPod contest and attract some new faces along the way," said Chaim Lunger, CEO of Monsey Tours.
Monsey Tours offers charter bus service to destinations throughout North America, in addition to commuter service between Monsey and New York City, Brooklyn and Monroe, and Brooklyn and Baltimore. For both its charter bus service and commuter routes, the company is known for its attentive, professional drivers, who frequently know their passengers by name.
"Monsey Tours just keeps getting better and better! I already use the company’s great bus service to travel from Monsey to Brooklyn and back on a daily basis, and now I have an iPod to show for it," said Yanky Reichberg, the winner of the iPod giveaway.
A daily Monsey Tours commuter, Reichberg was excited to be chosen as the charter bus company’s contest winner. Reichberg won a 160 GB iPod Classic — running for $249 at the Apple Store — and plans to upload photos and videos showcasing his prize to Facebook in the near future.
With over 40 years of experience, Monsey Tours has been certified by the New York City Board of Education and frequently serves the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) and the New York State Office of Parks and Recreation. Additionally, the charter bus service is approved to travel to the 13 casinos in Atlantic City, the Foxwood Casino and Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, the Yonkers Casino and the Monticello Raceway.
