San Diego selects First Transit for fixed-route service
Will include the operation of 29 vehicles by 37 drivers. First Transit has worked with MTS for 11 years and also operates the system’s paratransit service.
First Transit Inc. was named the new operator of the San Diego Metropolitan Transportation System’s (MTS) mini-bus fixed-route service.
The service includes the operation of 29 vehicles by 37 drivers. The MTS safely transports 290,000 passengers each weekday, equating to 94 million passengers annually. First Transit has worked with MTS for 11 years and also operates the system’s paratransit service.
First Transit provides complete operations and transit management services as well as comprehensive preventive maintenance and inspection programs to meet customer transportation and budgetary needs.
