Fired Calif. transit workers' retaliation claim heads to court

STOCKTON, Calif. — The legal case of three San Joaquin Regional Transit District employees claiming they were fired in retaliation for assisting in a civil grand jury investigation of the transit district was set toward a jury trial on Monday, Recordnet.com reported.

The transit district said the employees were laid off because the agency faced a budget crunch created by dwindling revenue and rising gas prices, not as retribution. For the full story, click here.
