Alstom's president announces departure

Philippe Mellier, President of Alstom Transport for eight years, announced that he is leaving the company.

Mellier will join the diamond company De Beers as group CEO. The appointment will be effective in July.

Until further notice, Chairman/CEO Patrick Kron will be acting as president of Alstom Transport following Mellier's departure.
