U. of Toronto students adopt summer U-Pass

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) students can now take an unlimited number of transit trips throughout the summer with the extension of the popular Universal Bus Pass (U-Pass) program, Mississauga.com reported.

Last November, UTM students voted overwhelmingly to establish the Summer U-Pass program for full-time students. The passes, which are paid for through student fees, allow students to take unlimited rides on MiWay, the new name of Mississauga Transit. The student union president said that research and lobbying efforts helped convince MiWay of the program benefits. For the full story, click here.
