AngelTrax released a new mobile video surveillance system — the MicroLinx™ mobile DVR. Built with rugged product design, the MicroLinx weighs two pounds and offers the latest mobile video technology.

The MicroLinx is one of the first MDVRs from AngelTrax to feature built-in WLAN connectivity out of the box, allowing users to connect the DVR to their local network or a cellular carrier's GSM network to view live streaming video, download recorded video data remotely and receive instant system health notifications.

Fleet managers will gain real-time insight into fleet operations and a hands-free method to manage their mobile surveillance systems.

GSM cellular connectivity through built-in wireless LAN empowers fleet managers utilizing MicroLinx systems to observe their vehicles in real time. Streaming video allows users to look into a vehicle, view its current video feed and even adjust camera angles.

The MicroLinx enhances incident management with the use of instant system health notifications that wirelessly deliver relevant details, including the vehicle ID number, date, time and GPS coordinates, of marked events as they occur.

The driver-operated panic button allows vehicle operators to also mark events in recorded footage, which will automatically send a special panic event notification with a snapshot image of the scene via email or text message, giving fleet managers the opportunity to respond immediately after an incident happens.

The MicroLinx is built with anti-vibration technology to protect the unit's hard drive and a shock-resistant, vandal-proof housing that includes a key-locking front door to prevent unauthorized access. Each MicroLinx comes standard with four high-resolution audio and video channels, MJPEG/MPEG4 swappable compression and a 250GB high speed SATA hard drive capable of storing approximately 45 hours of recorded footage.

All audio and video data recorded by AngelTrax mobile DVRs is encrypted and can only be viewed using AngelTrax's proprietary playback software — preventing any digital tampering.

Users can customize the system to fit their specific needs. The MicroLinx's hard drive can be upgraded to 500GB, doubling the capacity for recorded footage. Virtual Synchronized Mapping™ technology can be added to a MicroLinx mobile DVR to include absolute GPS synchronization to recorded audio and video data. AngelTrax's three-axis G-Force sensor can also be included to notify users of any excessive jolts or braking along a vehicle's route.

The MicroLinx is compatible with all AngelTrax high-resolution cameras and can be installed on school buses, paratransit services, mass transit systems, waste management solutions and locomotives.
