Nova wins 328 NYC Transit artic order
Following the successful introduction of a 90-vehicle test fleet in 2009-2010, this contract will enable Nova Bus to continue its growth in North America.

[IMAGE]LFSArtic-NYC-2.jpg[/IMAGE]Nova Bus secured an order for 328 articulated buses for MTA New York City Transit (NYC Transit). The 62-foot vehicles will be assembled in Nova Bus’ upstate N.Y. plant.
“Nova Bus is proud to continue its partnership with MTA New York City Transit,” said Nova Bus President/CEO Gilles Dion. “Since 2009, our teams have worked in close collaboration to customize our product to address the unique operational needs of New York City.”
Following the successful introduction of a 90-vehicle test fleet in 2009-2010, this contract will enable Nova Bus to continue its growth in North America. Nova Bus’ presence in the North Country has led to the creation of more than 200 direct jobs and has brought five suppliers to establish facilities in the area, according to the company.
Committed to local investment, Nova Bus will provide between 38 percent and 40 percent of N.Y. state content for each transit bus built for NYC Transit, excluding its in-house assembly work. The articulated buses are set to be delivered from August 2011 to April 2013.
