RICHMOND, Va. — On Monday, six U.S. Senators, including Jim Webb and Mark R. Warner, both D-Va., sent a letter to U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood asking him to swiftly implement safety standards to prevent fatigued bus drivers from getting behind the wheel, after a crash last week in Caroline County killed four people and injured dozens, Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

The letter also urged him to step up efforts to remove unsafe motor carriers from U.S. roads, ensure bus drivers are skilled and well-rested and protect passenger safety. For the full story, click here.
