Jonathan Davis will become the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's (MBTA) acting GM and MassDOT rail and transit administrator, when Richard Davey assumes the role of secretary/CEO of MassDOT in September.

Serving for more than 10 years as the T's Deputy GM/chief financial officer, Davis directs the financial management and accounting functions of the MBTA, manages the operating and capital budgets, and oversees the collection of all revenue. As the MBTA's senior financial advisor, Davis provides financial counsel to the GM and the board of directors.

Prior to coming to the MBTA in 1995, Davis worked in the private sector for 25 years at H.P. Hood Inc., holding various positions, including VP and Controller; VP, operations planning; VP, MIS, and treasurer; and corporate controller.
