AC Transit extends Gannett Fleming contract

Oakland, Calif.-based Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) extended its contract with Gannett Fleming Project Development Corp. (GFPDC) for project management advisory services for the East Bay Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

GFPDC, an affiliate of Gannett Fleming, Inc., provides complete design-build and program and construction management services to owners in both the public and private sectors.

GFPDC is providing AC Transit with advice for its major capital projects, support for the selection of the BRT design consultant, development of the project management plan, oversight of the planning and design consultants and third-party coordination support with local agencies and the Federal Transit Administration.

The original contract, valued at $100,000, began in 2010 and was set to expire in April 2011. The contract has been extended through the end of 2011 with nearly $200,000 in additional contract budget awarded.
