ALBANY, N.Y. — The New York State Court of Appeals decided that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates area airports and owns the World Trade Center site, is entitled to government immunity for its security measures at the parking garage in the 1993 bombing that killed six people and injured about 1,000, the AP reported.
The decision could mean the transit agency doesn't have to pay currently outstanding claims, but is not likely to affect settled claims. For the full story, click here.
