PHILADELPHIA — The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) and the drivers’ union are calling for special legal protection for transit workers after the shooting of a city bus driver Tuesday night, philly.com reported.

A man shot and wounded the driver, Bernetta V. Rembert, after she told him he couldn’t board the bus, which was out of service at the time. The shooting was the 46th assault on a SEPTA employee this year.  For the full story, click here.
