San Diego transit to expand student discount program

SAN DIEGO — With employees and students at California State University, San Marcos purchasing 449 passes for the current school year, significantly more than the 250 originally projected, North County Transit District is expanding its discount bus and rail pass to the 7,800-student University of San Diego, Sign On San Diego reported.

The transit agency will start with a pilot program that aims to sell 50 discounted transit passes to students and staff. For the full story, click here.
