ETA Transit Systems was awarded a contract by Amtrak to furnish, deliver, install, test and commission a new passenger information and display system (PIDS) to replace its current PIDS on Amtrak's Capitol Corridor in California.

The new PIDS, driven by ETA's flagship product, Spatial Positioning on Transit (SPOT), with its text-to-speech capability, will provide ADA-compliant messaging, including digital signage and synchronized audio messaging.

Amtrak's Capitol Corridor is Amtrak's busiest corridor outside the Northeast and serves San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, and intermediate cities with links to numerous local transit services.

Founded in 2003, ETA Transit Systems is a systems consulting and software development firm specializing in automatic vehicle location, passenger information and communications systems throughout North America.
