Duke U. chooses Transloc for bus tracking

DURHAM, N.C. — Duke University outfitted all of its buses with a Transloc GPS tracking system, which will provide real-time arrival and location information to students, as well as automatic passenger counters, The Chronicle reported.

The system will enable the university to post messages to notify students about delays and other changes to bus routes, as well as provide tracking information on other area transit systems, such as the Bull City Connector and the Durham Area Transit Authority buses.
