STARKVILLE, Miss. — The area's Board of Aldermen approved Mississippi State University Parking Services' plan to submit a grant proposal to the Mississippi Department of Transportation asking for half of the funding necessary for three shuttle routes throughout the city and 80% of the funds needed to purchase shuttle shelters and buses, according to the Starkville Daily News.

The deadline to submit the proposal is March 4, and the university would know this summer if the grant is accepted. The program would be named the Starkville/MSU Area Rapid Transit. For the full story, click here.
