PHILADELPHIA — Transit planners are proposing a $46 million NJ Transit bus rapid transit (BRT) system that would allow buses to travel on shoulder lanes and in the median in a heavily traveled corridor running from South New Jersey to Philadelphia, Philly.com reported.
NJ Transit has been examining alternate routes for a BRT system for several years. If the project gets approval and funding, the bus service could be in operation by 2020. For the full story, click here.
