Man who assaulted Canadian driver gets no jail time

VANCOUVER — A local provincial court judge sentenced the man who sucker punched a Coast Mountain Bus Co. driver to an 18-month conditional sentence followed by two years of probation, according to The Province. Coast Mountain and other area bus drivers are said to be “furious” with the ruling.

On Feb. 15, 2011, Del Louie, along with two friends, boarded a bus through the back door. When driver Charles Dixon told him to get off the bus and line up at the front door, Louie punched Dixon on the right cheek, breaking his bone. For the full story, click here.
