PHILADELPHIA — Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority transit police ended their nine-day-long strike, philly.com reported.
The primary cause of the strike was a 35-cent-an-hour difference in "certification" pay between the union's demand and SEPTA's offer. Transit police were seeking the pay as a way of getting a small additional increase beyond the pattern set by the Transport Workers Union contract.
