Coach America bankruptcy impacts Calif. transit

VENTURA, Calif. — Coach America’s bankruptcy will force the closure of the Ventura Intercity Service Transit Authority (VISTA) by the end of the month, stranding hundreds of daily riders in the Ventura, Santa Barbara area, according to KABC.

Ventura County Transportation Commission officials say if the shutdown of VISTA cannot be somehow avoided that they need more time to find another company to provide bus service. They say they are asking Coach America to keep the buses on the streets for at least another month. For the full story, click here.
