Greyhound offers $1 fares for customers of closed carriers
The fares are valid for travel any time between June 1 and June 16 and are only for customers who purchased tickets prior to May 31 with affected carriers listed on the FMCSA’s website.
Greyhound is offering a special $1 one-way fare to those customers who purchased tickets on other bus carriers that were closed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). In addition, Peter Pan Bus Lines and Adirondack Trailways are partnering with Greyhound to offer this same fare special on select routes in the Northeast.
The fares are valid for travel any time between June 1 and June 16 and are only for customers who purchased tickets prior to May 31 with affected carriers listed on the FMCSA’s website.
Customers will need to bring their ticket and proof of purchase with them to any Greyhound terminal to receive the fare.
“We understand many have had their travel plans disrupted, and Greyhound wants to take care of those who have been affected, ensuring they arrive at their planned destination safely and on time,” said Dave Leach, president/CEO, Greyhound. “As the value and safety leader in the industry, Greyhound is ready to provide these customers a better travel option to more major cities with more frequency across the Eastern United States.”
The majority of affected routes are served by Greyhound’s low-fare premium service, Greyhound Express, which serves a network of more than two dozen markets along the eastern U.S., connecting people from Boston all the way to Miami. Greyhound Express combines affordable prices with luxurious amenities usually found in more expensive travel, including modern, environmentally friendly buses equipped with amenities such as free Wi-Fi, power outlets, leather seats, reserved seating and extra legroom.
