MBTA to launch on-demand taxi service

BOSTON — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority plans to launch a new on-demand taxi program for people with disabilities that will offer "same-day" service — an upgrade from its current paratransit service, which requires trip scheduling at least one day prior to pickup, according to a boston.com report.
