LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Department of Transportation is considering safety improvements at some railroad crossings, including the site of last year's deadly crash between an Amtrak passenger train and a tractor-trailer that killed six and injured dozens, according to an Associated Press report. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the move comes amid criticism that it's taken too long to make improvements.
