Calif. area adds 'Flex' bus service

OCEANSIDE, Calif. — North County Transit District (NCTD) officials celebrated the start of an on-demand bus, “Flex,” service for Solana Beach and Encinitas, according to the North County Times.

The NCTD district has received numerous requests for service from residents who want to shop or dine in the coastal cities but do not have a car or no longer drive, according to agency officials. The new service is an effort to "make up" for some of the traditional routes that have been cut in communities including Solana Beach and Encinitas. For the full story, click here.
