MERCED, Calif.  — A visually impaired Merced County resident wrote to the Merced Sun-Star that GSG Merced County Transit will increase Dial-a-Ride fares by 50%, eliminate daily and monthly Dial-a-Ride fare passes, cut rural Dial-a-Ride service and only allow trips for medical appointments for $5 to $10 each way for blind and visually impaired riders.
