Feds: CATS can supply DNC buses

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Federal Transit Administration granted the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) a waiver so the agency could provide “limited charter service” during the Democratic National Convention next week, the Charlotte Observer reported.

The decision comes after the American Bus Association asked federal regulators not to grant a waiver that CATS needs to use its buses to transport people with disabilities and other accessibility issues. For the full story, click here.
