Firm confident Texas high-speed rail will open by 2020

IRVING, Texas — Leaders of the private firm building the Texas Central High-Speed Railway are confident it can complete a 205 miles per hour high-speed rail line between Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston by 2020 without using public financing, according to The Texas Tribune.

Backing the Texas-based company is a group led by Central Japan Railway Company, which handles more than 100 million passengers each year on its bullet trains in Japan. For the full story, click here.
