MBTA driver charged for hitting meter maid with bus

BOSTON — Police arrested a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) bus driver for allegedly hitting a meter maid and three other cars after she was given a $75 ticket for parking illegally in the heart of Kenmore Square, BostonHerald.com reported. The meter maid said she stepped out of her vehicle to place a parking ticket on the bus’ windshield that the driver had refused to accept in hand, when the bus surged forward.

The driver, a 10-year veteran of the MBTA, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and operating to endanger. For the full story, click here.
