N.C. transit chief leaving to head Kansas system

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Steve Spade, director of Chapel Hill Transit for the past six years, is leaving to take a position as transit director for Wichita (Kan.) Transit, newsobserver.com reported.
    
During Spade’s leadership, the agency acquired its first hybrid and articulated buses, built a new $22 million Chapel Hill Transit maintenance center and created a collaborative relationship with community partners. For the full story, click here.
