U. Wis.-Milwaukee offering transit fleet mgmt. classes online

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is now offering a new online class covering transit fleet management.

The classes will analyze the principles of vehicle operations and maintenance in order to save money and improve service. The four-week “asynchronous” online class is for beginning or advanced level drivers, trainers and managers, requiring three to four hours of log-in time per week at the convenience of the participant.

The on-line course is comprised of three components:

1. Corporate Fleet Management

- Fleet Management Case Study

- How Successful Fleets Work and Stay Competitive

- Vehicle Specification and Procurement

2. Shop Management

-Fleet Equipment and Maintenance Management

3. Green Garages

- Modernize Shop for Safety, Green and Productivity
