Arizona begins planning for $15M transit upgrade

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Planning has begun for a $15 million public transit upgrade that will include a park-and-ride and transit center, built separately or as a combined facility.

The outer ring of the parking lot at the Arrowhead Towne Center currently serves as a makeshift transit center. Officials said the arrangement is dangerous and doesn’t meet transit needs. Currently, the city and contractors are studying possible sites and travel patterns and meeting with the public. For the full story, click here.
