N.D. bus ridership increase prompts study

MINOT, N.D. — Ridership for the Minot city bus system is up 16% for the first nine months of the year, which includes a near 43% increase during the third quarter ending Sept. 30. The system plans to conduct a transit analysis to determine how to best serve the most people and the elderly and disabled riders who most need service, reported the Minot Daily News.

Adult ridership is up 105% for the first nine months and 111% in just the last three months. So far this year, the number of adult riders — 37,489 — exceeds last year's total adult ridership of 23,742. For the full story, click here.
