EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Eau Claire is considering bringing its paratransit service in-house, in hopes that it will be more cost-effective than a private transportation provider, reports the Leader-Telegram.
Another advantage of bringing the service in-house is that it would be managed directly by the city, allowing a more hands-on approach if service complaints arise, according to city transit manager Mike Branco.
