BALTIMORE — The state of Maryland is pushing forward on a $2.2 billion light rail project for the city of Baltimore, even though funds for its construction have not been secured, reports The Baltimore Sun.
The Maryland Transit Authority has asked the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board to approve $55.6 million in federal funds for the preliminary engineering of the project. The board is scheduled to vote on the request Nov. 27. To read the full story, click here.
