NEW YORK —The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will not provide refunds to riders who purchased 30- or 7-day unlimited MetroCards prior to Hurricane Sandy, The New York Times reported.

An anonymous official said processing the refunds for the service disruption would be a logistical nightmare. However, in 2005, the MTA issued refunds following a transit strike. To read the full story, click here.
