Anchor Trailways & Tours changes name

Anchor Trailways & Tours announces the immediate change of the company name to Anchor Tours. No other changes to the company ownership or service are associated with this announcement.

“Our company was founded with the Anchor Tours name and we wanted to return to a name which implies the personal attention we give to every charter,” said company President John Stancil.

“Most people don’t know that the Trailways companies are individually owned and not part of a national company, so we found ourselves frequently explaining that we are in fact a family-owned and run company and provide very personalized service,” Jared Stancil, company VP added. “It just made sense for us to return to our roots and the original name so many of our long-time customers know us by.”

The name change signifies the separation of the company from the Trailways brand.

Anchor Tours, a family-owned company in operation over 20 years, is dedicated to providing the safest group travel available in motorcoach transportation. These transportation specialists have three strategically chosen locations in the southeast to enable them to best serve their customers: Nashville, Tenn.; Paducah, Ky.; and Florence, Ala.
