D.C. Metro pass sales down by half

The agency sold 353,798 passes in the first four months after the changes were made on July 1, compared with 628,648 in same period in 2011. The one-day unlimited passes remain the most popular, but purchases dropped from about 73,000 a month by almost a half after Metro raised the price from $9 to $14.
