Calif. HSR wins legal battle

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Almanac reported that a Sacramento County judge upheld the California High-Speed Rail Authority's (CHSRA) environmental-review process for the controversial high-speed rail project in spite of an effort by Peninsula-area cities to stop it.  

This was the second lawsuit brought against the CHSRA by the cities. After the first suit, the judge required the rail authority to revise parts of its environmental impact report. For the full story, click here.
