In cooperation with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), Greyhound will begin operating one round trip schedule through its Greyhound Connect service traveling between Springfield, Mo., and Ottumwa, Iowa, beginning in April.

Greyhound Connect is a transportation service providing residents with easy and affordable service that connects them to major Greyhound markets. The service is primarily located in regions within the state in need of daily, scheduled and affordable transportation.

“Through Greyhound Connect, residents will have more travel options to choose from in areas with limited to no intercity bus access,” said Stephen Hutchings, regional VP, Greyhound Lines Inc. “Customers can connect to Greyhound’s 3,800 locations throughout North America and experience our safe and affordable transportation services throughout the state.”

The route is being provided using Federal Transit Administration 5311(f) funds through MoDOT. It allows companies, such as Greyhound, to provide intercity bus transportation to locations not currently within its traveling markets.
